As many of you know, and as many of you don't know, I will be moving to Denver, Colorado on Friday, May 31, 2013. It has been a privilege and honor to work at the Hays Daily News. I have had the opportunity to see many things, and I will always be appreciative of the time spent here. Klint and I will be moving to Colorado together, and I am extremely looking forward to being open to a new environment in Colorado.
Let the adventures begin.
All the best,

This past week my heart has longed to be in Turkey. It is wild to me that living in a place for such a short time can change so much of who you are and what you long for and savor. (If anyone out there reads this and is somehow hiring overseas (wishful thinking), please contact me!! <<<<<. :) )

Supppper thrilled! The holiday season is here and that means tons of fun opportunities for photographs. {And lots and lots of good food and family time!} Outside of work I have been suppppppppper thrilled to be learning Arabic. I swear, I don't know why I did not take more language classes while I was at K-State. I love learning the language. It is so beautiful. AND (can't you tell I adore this!) I was looking on Al Jazeera's website two days ago and I was able to decipher how to pronounce a few words! !!!!
Until next time...

I've been trying to learn how to use my time efficiently, which proves harder than I thought.

It's hard to believe that I've been in Hays since August, and that it is almost November. I don't know whether to say that the time has flown by, or if it has inched by.
I miss being mobile. I miss Bluestem.

Lots of sports coverage as of late.
On Sunday I went with Connor, a HDN reporter to go to Via Christie Nursing Home here in Hays to visit with a gentleman named Victor that Connor was doing a story about. At the end of the interview, as we were leaving, and I was about to say goodbye to Victor and to give him a handshake, the 86 year Victor pulled me in for a hug and said thank you. There are things about this job that I wouldn't trade for the world- and one of them is having the chance to meet and listen to such beautiful, beautiful individuals.

This past weekend I went back to Salina to visit family, and I found myself missing Hays. I never, ever, ever, ever, ever (EVER!) would have thought I would be secretly thinking this and publicly announcing it. There's something about being out here that clears your mind and lets you focus on whatever you need to love. You know?
